Yahoo Messenger 9.0 with all Exciting New Features

Yahoo Messenger has improved a lot from the previous version, but it is still in beta version. So you can see more features adding to the final version. If you haven’t tried new Yahoo Messenger 9.0 beta try it now. It has some cool exciting features like

• Sharing Flickr Pictures:

To share Flickr pictures, just click on the “Photos” button in the IM window. Once the side panel is open,click “+Add Photos” button and choose “Add from Flickr…”.This will bring up the Flickr Photo Picker window that shows your Flickr photostream. To share just click on the photo and it is automatically added to the photo sharing panel.

• Zoom feature for Vista:

If you are having Vista, you can see use this feature. Press down [Ctrl] and move the scrool wheel on your mouse. You can zoom in IM window as well as on contact list.

• Bigger Emoticons:

You might like these new emoticons, as their older ones. They are not so massive but slightly bigger, see them here ( and ). Six new emoticons are added look at them ( )

Tip: See how you can use these emoticons to display your mood to your friends.

• Voice in chat rooms for Vista users:

The new release includes fix for Vista users who use 9.0. Previously voice did not work for Vista users.

• Improved import contact feature:

Now You can add friends to your Yahoo messenger from address books you have on other online services like AOL, Hotmail, Gmail, Orkut,..22 services included. To add select your online address book of any mail account and enter username and password, then click Continue button. You contacts are added with pending confirmation requests.

• Translation Plugins:

I think you are familiar with this plugin, because this feature is also avaliable in previous version. Youcan chat in your own language using translation plugin. For more info see this page.

• Display image is Updated for Mac:

Several Mac users have been experiencing issues with displaying and adding pictures. This has been fixed.

• New skins are added:

New skins in wide variety of colors. To change click on the DOT(shown in the picture) and select.

• Watch Flickr videos in IM window:

To share your own Flickr videos during an IM conversation, just copy and paste the link from the browser address bar when you’re on the video page (e.g. http://www.flickr.com/photos/fraying/2391084921/).

You can also watch other videos from video hosting services. Yahoo messenger 9.0 beta supports videos from Yahoo! Video, YouTube, Google Video, Im.tv, and Veoh.

To share a video from Yahoo! Video or YouTube with a friend, first get the link to the video from the website. On Yahoo! Video, click the “Share” button near the bottom of the video and copy the link in the “Link” box. Or copy the URL from the browser address bar (sample link: http://video.yahoo.com/watch/2202820/6961859).

On YouTube, you can copy and paste the link from the browser address bar, such as http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-jEc5UA_Ew. If you see a YouTube video on another site that you want to share, click the “YouTube” logo button in the lower right corner, then copy the link in the ‘url’ box.

• IM window with Matrix Mode for Vista:

Now Vista users can easily chat with multiple users in a single window.Download Yahoo Messenger for Windows Vista. The picture depicting below is called as Matrix Mode. When you have tabs in IM window press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + b on your keyboard will turn into Matrix mode.
